You are invited Saturday, October 4, to participate in our ARRL public outreach booth and exhibit at the Rocklin Maker Faire to be held at Sierra College in Rocklin, 5100 Rocklin Rd, Rocklin, CA 95677 from 10 a.m. – 3 pm.
Our public outreach booth will promote Amateur Radio and our local clubs. Participants can display amateur radio equipment and antenna projects, Morse Code practice stations, and offer opportunities for attendees to learn about the many facets of our amateur radio hobby.
Booth visitors can communicate on the air with amateur radio operators via an operational on-site amateur radio Special Event Station K6C. We will offer literature and information on licensing, local clubs, the ARRL and amateur radio’s role in community service and promoting careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Radio hams and our ARRL affiliated clubs have participated in the Rocklin Maker Faire since 2015.
The Rocklin Maker Faire is a family-friendly fun event and an excellent opportunity to connect with the public and promote our amateur radio hobby and clubs.
Send an email to Carol at kp4md@arrl.org to let us know you wish to participate!
