Our ARRL Sacramento Valley Amateur Radio Exhibit and K6C Special Event Station were held at the 2026 Rocklin Maker Faire at Sierra College in Rocklin, 5100 Rocklin Rd, Rocklin, California 95677 on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10am – 3 pm PT (1700-2200 UTC). Thanks to Allen, K6AGW, Joel, AI6DG, Walter, K6HTD, for their assistance and to the various other radio amateurs who dropped by during the Maker Faire.
Our exhibit consisted of various equipment demonstrations of off-grid voice, Morse Code and digital communication modes, satellite, skywave and repeater propagation, homebrew projects, literature, and the ever-popular Morse Code practice stations. During the event, our exhibitors interacted with many Maker Faire attendees and made contacts on HF and VHF, including the California QSO Party.
Our exhibitors promoted our amateur radio clubs, resources, and participation in the various aspects of the Amateur Radio Service.
Thanks to all for another successful public outreach!
